FINDLAY, OH. (January 21, 2026) - STP Motorsports would like to welcome 2001 World of Outlaws Champion Danny Lasoski to the team for the 2026 season. The 4-time Knoxville Nationals Champion brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. The team is set for a 80+ race night schedule with Danny’s help and guidance. “At the end of the day there is one simple goal here and that is to help Bryce succeed with results and driving as well as helping the team anyway I can. I’m confident we can get the results we want and have some fun. Working together and staying together the longest is what prevails for success and that's the ultimate goal.” States Lasoski. Danny will be joining the team in Florida for the World of Outlaws season opener from Volusia Speedway February 4th - 7th.

For a team like STP Motorsports with owner Tyson Oakman this is a childhood dream come true. What was built from a love of racing and passion to succeed in this sport is growing to include someone like 11-time Knoxville Raceway Champion Danny Lasoski. “We’ve worked our tails off building STP Motorsports into a respectable sprint car program, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far. But we’ve hit that point where if we truly want to scale this team to the next level, we need someone special — someone who’s been there, done that, and understands every inch of this sport. Hiring Danny Lasoski just made sense. “The Dude” brings an unbelievable amount of knowledge, not just on the racetrack, but off of it too — setup, race craft, team culture, mindset, and the little details that separate good teams from great ones. I truly believe he’s the missing piece for where we want to go.” Explains car owner Tyson Oakman.

Tyson explains his first memory leading to this being such a special hire, “I still remember 1993 like it was yesterday. I was 16 years old, just got my driver’s license, and my dad was out of town getting married. So what did I do? I took the car to Eldora for the Kings Royal. That’s where I first noticed this up-and-coming guy named Danny ‘The Dude’ Lasoski driving the #5 Guy Forbrook car. I’ll be honest — I think I fell in love with the nickname first. Then I watched him race, and I was absolutely in awe. He was so damn fast. Now fast-forward 33 years, and here I am hiring The Dude as a consultant for my own race team. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that kid from Ohio would be standing here today. It’s pretty damn special.”

“I’m especially excited about what this means for our young driver, Bryce Lucius. To have someone like Danny in his corner — a Hall of Famer who’s raced and won at the highest level — that’s huge. This partnership isn’t just about today; it’s about setting Bryce and this entire team up for long-term success.” States Tyson.

18-yr old Bryce Lucius will be behind the wheel of the STP Motorsports #32. 2025 brought 6 wins including 2 with the All Star Circuit of Champions. “Looking forward to working with Danny as I feel he can help develop me as a driver myself and we’re all excited as a team to see how 2026 is about to go.”

STP Motorsports full schedule will be released within the coming weeks.
