FINDLAY, OH. (January 29, 2026) - STP Motorsports would like to welcome Clayton Murphy to the team for the 2026 season. Clayton is a 2016 Rio Olympic Games Medalist and will be serving as a performance coach for Bryce. He will be focussing on preparation techniques, nutrition, physical training, and mental preparedness during the races.
“Working with Bryce has been incredibly rewarding. From the start, he’s shown a rare combination of talent, work ethic, and openness to growth. My role with Bryce and the STP Motorsports team has been centered on sharpening his mental performance — helping him build confidence, manage pressure, and approach each race with clarity and intent. He continues to mature as a driver, and I’m excited to keep supporting his development as he takes the next steps in his career.” States Clayton.
Bryce and the STP Motorsports team have all the components to make the 2026 season successful and adding Clayton to the team is just one more step in that direction. Car Owner Tyson Oakman believes having Murphy and Danny Lasoski will take Bryce in the direction he wants the team to go. “Hiring Clayton Murphy as Bryce’s performance coach was a turning point for our program. The way Bryce prepares, processes feedback and mentally approaches each race has evolved dramatically. I strongly believe in continuous development, and that belief extends to everyone—no matter the level. When you have the chance to learn from an Olympic Bronze Medalist, you take it. With Clayton guiding Bryce’s mental and physical performance and Danny leading his on-track development, Bryce is surrounded by elite coaching. The future of this program in 2026 is incredibly exciting.”
Bryce will begin the year this Wednesday February 4th at Volusia Speedway Park with the World of Outlaws.
